About Us

Chester le Street Town have had youth teams in place for over 40 years and a fantastic record of producing players who have gone on to play both professionally and non-professionally. In June 2011, former Youth Chairman Dave Winter saw an opportunity to merge Riverside JFC with Chester Town and the Youth Section as it is today has continued on from there.

In 2020, we saw a strategic partnership align between Chester Town and Waldridge Park Youth -this saw a sharing of best practice, assets and opportunities to grow our section further. We safely boast a professional, well ran Youth Section, with shared goals and visions, to support the overall infrastructure of Chester-le-Street Town FC as a club, with “football for all” as our underpinning vision.

We hope to share many exciting new developments over the forthcoming months, aligning with other strategic partners who share our vison and goals.

We pride ourselves on offering a fun, safe and challenging environments for kids to thrive.

We want to give opportunities to children of ages ranging from 5-18, by offering programmes such as our Superstars – which gives young children a chance to experience football in a fun, learning environment, delivered by highly experienced coaches, which will eventually get them into a team to play competitive football.

We also have Teams which kids can join – again this may be a range of skills and abilities, some may never of played football before, some are highly experienced and some just want to join a club with the right ethos for offering the right environment for them, whichever it is, we always will welcome all children of any age, sex or ethnicity and we are able to provide playing opportunities for any child who wishes to join us and potentially have a pathway through to our men’s and women’s adult teams.
