Chester went down 2-0 at Whitley Bay. Bay took the lead after 6 minutes when a corner was played in from the left and Thomas Bradley headed in from close range. After 15 minutes, Owen Henderson played a good ball into Luke Collins on the edge of the area but his shot went wide of the target. Orrell but Maximiliano Coombes was quickly out to make a good block. After 29 minutes, a mistake by Harrison Scott let in Nathan Stephenson but his shot across goal saw Coombes make a good save at full stretch to turn the ball away for a corner. Bay doubled their lead after 57 minutes when a cross from the right went into the net off Bradley Hird. After 69 minutes, the ball was played into Liam Doyle and he turned well to fire in a shot which brought another good save from Coombes.After
84 minutes, Chester played a free kick into the area and Harry Whisker headed on but it clipped the outside of the post.
