Chester le street Town crashed to a 3-0 defeat at home to Tow Law Town.
After 15 minutes, Tow Law made a break down the right and the ball was crossed over for Callum Smith to latch onto but he fired his shot just over the bar. Chester came close to breaking the deadlock after 40 minutes when Jack Oliver did well to win possession near the by-line and hit a good low cross into the middle for Scott Robson to fie in a shot which brought a good save from the keeper, Alexander Curran. After 43 minutes, a corner from the right was played to the far side and Daniel Kirkup got a touch to the ball but Aaron Steavans managed to get a hand on the ball and turn it onto the bar and it was cleared away from danger. After 61 minutes, Callum Hassan hit a cross from the right into the middle for Lewis Martin but his shot was blocked and cleared. Three minutes later, Craig Marron lifted the ball into the area for Daniel Candlish to run in and strike a volley just over the bar. Tow Law made the breakthrough after 68 minutes. The ball was played into the area and Rhys Turnbull was penalised for a foul, although the majority of fans said there was no contact. Dale Milburn converted the penalty. After 72 minutes, Tow Law made a quick break down and the ball was played through the middle and Lewis Martin raced clear to fire home. Five minutes later, Martin ran clear down the left and cut his to drive the ball into the net. A comprehensive defeat but the penalty decision changed the course of the game.
