Chester went down 3-0 at Billingham Town. The first half was evenly fought with limited opening to both sides. After 28 minutes, the ball was played over from the left to Kieran Megran who lifted the ball towards goal but it drifted just wide of the target. Billingham made the breakthrough after 55 minutes when they made a quick break forward and it let in Craig Hutchinson and although Maximiliano Coombes made a good block the ball rebound to Hutchinson and he fired home. Billingham doubled their lead after 61 minutes when Luke Hogan made a good cross from the left for Hutchinson to power home a header. Billingham extended their lead after 67 minutes when a ball down the right set Jack Connor free and he raced on to score. After 76 minutes, a ball down the right found Elliott Beddow who turned well to fire in a low shot which Coombes saved at full stretch. Chester came close to pulling a goal back after 80 minutes when Andrew Clarkson was played down the left and he raced into the area to fire in a shot which deflected off the keeper onto the post.
