Chester le Street Town completed an easy 6-0 victory over Brandon United in this Ebac Northern League Div 2 fixture. After 5 minutes, the ball was played over from the right and headed on to Andrew Clarkson but he fired well wide from close range. Chester took the lead after 7 minutes when the ball was played through the middle and Scott Robson won possession to slip it past keeper Carl Robinson. After 12 minutes, the ball was played into the area for Robson to head on to Clarkson who tried to lift the ball over Robinson but the keeper stretched well to make a good save. After 33 minutes, the ball was moved down the right and played inside to Robson who fired in a good shot which rebounded back off the bar to the right. It was crossed back into the middle but Clarkson headed just wide of the far post. Chester doubled their lead after 41 minutes when Robson played the ball out to the left for Rhys Turnbull to race on and fire home. Chester le Street extended their lead after 44 minutes when Alexander Walker bundled the ball in from a left-wing corner to go in at Half Time 3-0 to the good
Two goals were scored by the Cestrians immediately after half time on 49 minutes, Owen Henderson cut in from the right to hit a low drive into the middle and it was
deflected by Michael Haley and it looped over the keeper into the net. Then 5 mins later minutes, Connor Lyon lifted the ball into the Brandon area and as a defender an keeper both hesitated, Clarkson nipped in to lift the ball over Robinson into the net. After 67 minutes the ball was played over from the left to Christopher Stephenson in space and his shot deflected off Haley into the corner of the net. After 78 minutes Harry Wood raced clear but Robinson made a good block to prevent another goal.
