Chesterle Street Town kept their 100% record as they recorded their fifth consecutive victory since the start of the season with a comfortable 3-0 win at Durham. For the second game in a row, Chester made an early breakthrough when they took the lead after 57 secs. As the ball was played forward, Lee Mole won a header and played the ball wide right for Kieran Megran to race to the by-line and cross for Jai Grant to fire in. Durham came close to an equaliser after 25 minutes when a high ball was played into the Chester area. Joe Bates controlled the ball well, lifted in back over his head and turned inside Christopher Stephenson to fire in a low shot which brought a good save from Jack Wilson. After 37 minutes the ball was played down the right to Owen Henderson who raced on to cross to the far side for Cameron Nichol but his header was tipped over the bar by keeper Joe Wilson. Chester doubled their lead after 41 minutes when Grant fired in a volley from 30 yards wgich the Durham keeper could only watch it sail into teh net. Chester controlled the second period. A good move after 73 minutes saw the ball played to Stephenson but he fired well over the bar. Two minutes later, Grant slipped the ball through to Nichol on the left and his cross into the middle found Megran. His header came back off the post but he was quickest to react to head in the rebound to claim an assit and a goal.
