After 9 minutes some good play saw Liam Dixon play the ball left for Collins to fire in a good shot which brought a good save from Graham. After 11 minutes a through ball sent Brown racing clear, although he did look to be well off-side, but Christopher Rookes made a good block. Chester took the lead after 13 minutes when a ball in from the right found Michael Hepplewhite and he found the net. After 31 minutes, Liam Dixon got the ball on the left and cut in to hit a good strike which
brought another good save from Graham. After 35 minutes, a corner from the right was only cleared to Craig Marron on the edge of the area. Chester came close to regaining the lead after 63 minutes when a ball into the area found Michael Hepplewhite and as Graham rushed out, he slipped the ball past the keeper but it drifted just past the far post. Tow Law came close after 77 minutes when a shot from the edge of the area was blocked and Keigan Turns completed the clearance. Tow Law pressed hard looking for a winner but the Chester defence held firm. Tow Law came close to finding a
winner in the 89th minute when a good low shot from Lewis Bateman brought a great save from Rookes. Considering the conditions it was a good game with neither side deserving to lose.
