Chester le Street Town lost their penultimate league game of the season 2-0 at Hebburn, the result confirming Hebburn’s promotion to Division One. Hebburn created an opening after 3 minutes when the ball was played into the Chester area to Daniel Robinson but his attempted flick towards goal was easily collected by Jack Wilson. Chester came close after 10 minutes when Aaron Reynolds played a high ball into the Hebburn area for Daniel McGuire to turn the ball towards goal but keeper Steven Hubery managed to get a hand to the ball. After 16 minutes, a corner from the left was only cleared to the edge of the area and Danny Naylor hit a good, first-time shot which Hubery did well to palm away for another corner. Hebburn took the lead after 44 minutes when Mechack Kanda got in a header which somehow found the net. Hebburn doubled their lead on the hour mark when a corner from the right was not cleared and the ball fell for Paul Chow to hook into the net.
