Chester le Street conceded a goal in stoppage time to lose 2-1 at home to Heaton Stannington. There was little between the teams in the first half with neither side creating any worthwhile chances. Chester made the breakthrough after 59 minutes when a ball into the area found Daniel McGuire in space and he had an easy finish. Heaton same close to an equaliser after 68 minutes when a corner was not cleared. An initial shot was blocked but it fell to Lewis Burns who fired towards the corner but Tom Iley was on hand to clear off the line. Heaton drew level after 73 minutes when Jonathan Wright was left unmarked and he fired in. Two minutes later, Wright made some space but he fired a good shot just over the bar. After 78 minutes, some good play by McGuire sent the ball down the right for Dylan Crooks. He made a good cross into the middle for Andrew Clarkson to get in a good header but keeper Matthew Smith made an excellent save to prevent the Cestrians going into the lead. After 84 minutes, the ball was played in from the right to Richard Hoggins who fired in a low shot which Jack Wilson had to save at full stretch. Chester came close to a goal after 86 minutes when a corner from the right found Andrew Clarkson but his header was just wide of the target. Heaton grabbed the winner in stoppage time when Joseph Wear headed in from a corner.
