Chesterle Street Town turned in another poor performance to go down 4-1 at home to Whickham.
After 3 minutes, Whickham moved the ball down the left and it was pulled back into the middle to Joe Mole but he turned the ball wide of the post. Chester le Street took the lead after 14 minutes when Lee Mole fired in from a corner by Kieran Megran. Whickham restored parity after 39 minutes. A high ball was played into the area and when Jack Wilson punched clear, it was crossed to the far side for Kallum Braodhead to head in. After 49 minutes, the ball was played over from the left to the far side. Alexander Walker retrieved the ball and crossed to the near post but David Surrey turned his shot wide of the target. Whickham went in front after 60 minutes. The ball was played down the left for Joe Mole and he cut into the box before pulling it back for Kyle Wharton to score. Whickham extended their lead two minutes later. A long ball was played through the middle and Walker failed to get a good contact as he tried to play the ball back to the keeper and Joe Mole took advantage. Although Wilson blocked his shot it rebound back to Joe Mole and he scored at the second attempt. After 72 minutes, Joe Mole made another good run through the middle but Wilson made a good save. After 75 minutes, Walker was penalised for a foul inside the area and Broadhead sent Wilson the wrong way to convert the penalty. Overall a very poor performance with some bad mistakes leading to us conceding goals.
